CWCT Installers Training
As a CWCT (Centre for Window & Cladding Technology) Approved Training Centre, Comar will be running the three-day Registered Installers' Scheme throughout the year.
The scheme was developed to give installers a basic knowledge for the attainment of an NVQ, which meets the needs of contractors, specifiers & suppliers, enabling them to verify the skills and the level of knowledge an installer has.
The first two days of the course cover all aspects of window and curtain walling installation, from 'The Functions of a Façade' to 'Surveying & Setting Out' - see overleaf for agenda - and include several interesting and informative videos. On the third and final day, the trainees will be assessed in a practical examination and given a final assessment paper which will be sent to the CWCT for marking. Trainees who attain the 79% pass mark will be included on the CWCT database and given a CWCT card. Before enrolling on the CWCT course, trainees will have to take a health and safety course, which is arranged through the CSCS (Construction Skills Certificate Scheme).
