Aluminium's innate durability and low maintenance makes it the material of choice for building facades. Comar 6 curtain-walling system's high span mullions ensured the large glass façade was achieved in this visually appealing car showroom in Newcastle. Together with Hadrian Architectural Glazing Systems, a Comar approved fabricator, the building was completed with Comar 6 curtain walling system, which was single glazed and powder-coated in light grey to match the roof panelling and give the overall ensemble a cohesive, sleek finish.

Comar 6's flexibility makes complex architectural designs easy to realise, coupled with this the system is fast to assemble. The inherent integration of all Comar systems can be seen in this project: Comar 7 is hung directly from Comar 6 curtain walling ensuring the same slim 50mm sight-lines are achieved throughout the façade.

Comar 6's flexibility really came to the fore at the entrance system, the centre point of the design. The corner mullions can adjust to 135°, thus comfortably accommodating the design-specified bay entrance and the sloped façade of the entrance top elevation.

Designed for use in entrances, Comar 7 aluminium doors are ideal for commercial buildings. Because of the natural strength and durability of aluminium, they provide longevity in high traffic areas such as retail entrances.
