Comar Architectural Aluminium Systems are delighted to launch their thermally broken Comar 7P.i Folding Sliding Door (FSD). 

Smooth operation and solutions to meet the design brief, the aluminium Comar 7P.i Folding/Sliding Door (FSD) system offers a myriad of possibilities for commercial or residential projects. Comar 7P.i FSD provides a versatile moveable wall that allows space and light into any project. Even in the winter months the glazed facade offers light as well as keeping the building insulated through the trade-marked Comar 7P.i thermal break technology.

By merging aesthetically pleasing features such as robust, yet slim, aluminium profiles with feature-laden operational gearing from the Comar 7P.i FSD system, you have the capability to design open-in or open-out stacking doors, folding and sliding from the top or the bottom rollers. Open-in stacking doors are advisable when the doors must operate within the building plane; open-out stacking doors can be used so the doors do not interfere with interior furnishings.  If bottom rolling options are required the gear is housed in the floor which offers uninterrupted traffic flow compliant with the very latest disability and equalities act legislation. Top-hung operating gear would be selected for larger sized doors. For additional safety the doors when folding offer a finger protection solution.

To cater for different apertures the Comar 7P.i FSD offers from 2 to 8 sliding doors in either direction with an optional rebated door for day to day ease of entry. Each leaf can be up to 1100mm wide, creating market leading potential spans with minimum sight-lines. Door heights can be up to 2400mm, but depending on wind loading larger sizes can be created; this is especially useful for floor to ceiling glazing or to create an entrance of distinction.  Glazing sizes of up to 62mm are catered for, which means that triple glazed or acoustic glasses can be specified as well as panels or standard double glazed units.

Due to the trade-marked P.i thermal efficiency U-values are well below the required Building Regulations targets. The doors and jamb are both adjustable to enable long-term smooth operation and to adapt to different building tolerances.

Comar Architectural Aluminium Systems are pleased to launch its next generation of commercial swing door sets. By taking the extensive range of solutions from its market leading Comar 7 Door range and coupling this with their trade-marked Comar Pi (polyamide insulation), the new  Comar 7Pi Commercial Door offers even lower U-values housed in robust profiles for high traffic areas.

Safety and user friendly solutions are offered in the Comar 7Pi Commercial Door, with aesthetically pleasing round anti-finger trap stiles, that ensures safety for fingers on its hinge stile     and thresholds that cater for DDA compliance.

Security concerns are alleviated as the doors have been extensively tested to PAS24, offering compliance with the very latest security specifications. As such, a range of locking options are available which include single or multi-point with Axim flush-bolts.

The Comar 7Pi Swing Doors are available in single or double configurations with options for double action open-in and open-out. The doors can be hung from the market leading range of Axim concealed closers, which offer mechanical back-check with hold or no hold-open options. Automatic options are catered for with integration into Comar’s extensive range of existing framing and auto door beams.

NEW PRODUCT! Comar 9P.i Framing System

Comar 9P.i High Performance Framing, Windows & Doors

After extensive research and consultation with key supply partners, Comar Architectural Aluminium Systems unveil the new Comar 9Pi High Performance Framing, Window and Door System.

The extensive market research indicated that a thermally efficient future proof facade system was required, with off site manufacture and value engineering solutions that actively seek to reduce material content.

Comar 9Pi high performance framing offers two options  of construction: ladder frame or mitre frame. 9Pi windows and 9Pi doors hang directly from the frame, reducing the need for additional outer frames, creating a truly integrated solution. Building typologies differ from refurbishment to new build, so Comar 9Pi has profile widths of 80mm or 120mm creating greater design flexibility. There are three levels of thermal performance: Standard Pi, Enhanced Pi    and Thermal Foam, creating U-values of between 1.6 to 1.0 for a typical grid size with opening vents.

Comar 9Pi has slim 50mm sight lines, the smallest sight lines for fixed light, to ensure that architecturally demanded aesthetics are achieved.

The Comar 7P.i. ECO door has been designed to provide high performance solutions for today’s specification demands.

Utilising Comar’s trademark P.i. (Polyamide Insulation) thermal break technology, it delivers superior thermal performance with an aesthetic edge. Aesthetics come from its slim 55mm profiles, seamlessly integrating with the Comar 5P.i. ECO casement window system.

Comar 7P.i. ECO has been tested to PAS 23 (General Performance for Door Assemblies) which ensures the door performs well against the rigours of the British weather, reducing draughts and
providing excellent weather-proofing. This ensures that, even in the most extreme locations, the Comar 7P.i. ECO doors maintain their high performance. Security concerns are alleviated with the Comar 7P.i. ECO door exceeding the requirements of PAS 24 (Enhanced Security Performance for Door Assemblies) with its secured by design multi-point locking system and key cylinder that is both anti-bump and anti-snap, ensuring the highest levels of reassurance against intruder attack.
Comar 7P.i. ECO comes with various threshold options, such as rebated for weather performance or low-rise for compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act (D.D.A).

Offering single or double doors that can open in or open out, the door is ideally suited to light-commercial, residential or social housing projects.
